Mineral sun protection – includes minerals that reflect a broad spectrum of UV radiation; Acts as a reflective shield, blocking radiation immediately upon application
Chemical sun protection - chemical filters absorb UV radiation, “neutralizing” the UV radiation, transforming it to heat energy. Requires approximately 20-40 minutes for its protective effect to develop. After taking effect, the protection lasts approximately 3-4 hours and doesn’t lose its effectiveness even in water!
